3s Suffer First Loss of Their Season

The 3s kicked off against Glasgow Caledonian 1s in very windy conditions down at Peffermill, with an unfortunate goal from Glasgow in the first minute. Edinburgh fought back with a good run from Molly down the wing putting pressure on Glasgow’s back 4. This continued from Edinburgh with Cynthia making a great break on goal to get the first corner of the game for Edinburgh. With nothing coming from the corner, Cynthia was soon back sprinting down the wing, passing through the defence and scoring a beautiful goal in the top of the net! Glasgow fought back, putting pressure on the Edinburgh defence and gaining another goal in the 18th minute. Edinburgh retaliated in great style with another brilliant goal from Cynthia! Another storming run from Cynthia sadly got shut down, with Glasgow then making their way into the Edinburgh half. Glasgow managed to slot through the defence with another goal, making it 3-2 to Glasgow. The second half kicks off. Vhairi managed to drive up the field, but unfortunately it goes wide. Glasgow get another goal making it 4-2. Glasgow continued to push but the Edinburgh defence stayed strong. With 15 minutes to go, Glasgow Cali managed to get a goal on rebound despite some great efforts from goalkeeper Mollie. Cynthia then makes a great long ball to Molly who hammers it home for Edinburgh, now 5-3! A free kick is then given to Edinburgh in the last minute but unfortunately this comes to nothing. Final score is 5-3 to Glasgow, but Edinburgh stay positive and look onwards and upwards to their next match!
