1st Team Win SSS Cup

Following on from their unbeaten league success, the EUWAFC 1s now faced a very strong Edinburgh College team in the final of the SSS Cup. The game was very tense and whilst both teams had good chances, the score remained 0-0 until late into the match. Just as it appeared neither team was going to break the deadlock, a spectacular volley from defender Lucy Stanton meant Edinburgh went 1-0 with less than 10 minutes to go. The team rallied together and saw out the result which now sees them complete a fantastic League 1A and SSS Cup double. A massive congratulations to everybody involved at the club. This game marked the end of the 11-a-side season for EUWAFC with only Futsal fixtures still to be played and caps the most successful season in the club's history.
