4TH TEAM
THE FOURTH TEAM COMPETES IN THE BUCS SCOTTISH 3A
Since its creation in 2018 as a squad for developing EUWAFC talent and playing friendlies against local development teams, the Fourth Team have only grown in strength, number and points!
The 4s played their first competitive match in 2021 and finished out the season with points under their belts. The highlight of their year was a decisive 5-0 win against the Stirling 3s! Often leading the club in energy and support, the 4s have emboldened the spirit of EUWAFC and continue to make club history.
The 2023/24 saw the best season yet for the 4s with an impressive 3rd place finish in the league, with only Glasgow 3s separating our fourth and third teams in the league table.
The 4s had a successful 2023/24 season, with a best-ever third place finish in Scottish League 3A, just two places beneath our own 3rd team. Scoring 40 goals and conceding only 7, the 4s were impressive both in attack and in defence throughout the league campaign despite setbacks through injury. The 4th team also had a successful cup run, getting knocked out by Abertay, who play in Scottish 2A.
Highlights for the 4th team in the 2023/24 season include the 15-0 win over Queen Margaret's in their final game of the season and a 14-0 victory over the Dundee 2s earlier in the season.
The 4s can't wait for the 2024/25 season, and are excited to welcome new players in September!
